I've had a couple of people reporting issues with startup delays on OS
Update 11 with various USB devices.
It occurred to me that there *are* known issues with some USB devices (and
CD drives) if PartMan is active (the disc partition manager). For
example, leaving an audio CD in the drive is known to cause probs, and
other USB devices might also not respond as expected.
In case this is an issue for you, please do F12, then *unplug partman
You can check which modules are unplugged by doing F12 then *unplug
Note that a "normal" upgrade to OS 11 should unplug partman automatically.
A side comment is that due to changes in the way video startup occurs (I
think due to the code-feedback that occurred to ROOL for imxvideo), some
users no longer see the "list of modules" early phase of debug text. If
something goes wrong at this point, potentially you are left with a blank
screen rather than seeing the error info.
Doing *configure monitortype 4 and *configure mode 32 *may* help.
However, *configure monitortype edid and *configure mode auto may also be
good. I'm still researching the best combination of this, and am not 100%
happy yet.
