An update on this. It's now working.
Having got Make to work (see other post) it kept telling me my pyhon
executable was stamped 1e09 seconds in the future (or something along
those lines). At first i wondered if the time stamp had got corrupt on
transfer from RPCEmu but I didn't think a whole lot more about until I
ran the executable and it told me it was build sometime in the 1970s.
Now I know the ARMBook packs a lot into it's small form, but I didn't
think it was literally a tardis. *Time told me the correct time and
date, so why was it saying 1970 something..
On closer inspection, *Time was showing the correct time and date but
not YEAR. We'd gone forward to 2109 or something. Quick calculation
seems to indicate that the time - 1/1/1970 would end up being a pretty
small number if you just took the bottom 32 bits.
So having set the clock correctly, python now things it's been built
yesterday not 40-odd years ago, and PlingStore works again.
My guess is some certificate had expired by 21whatever.
TLDR; system clock though it was the 22nd century :)
Cheers
