I was looking at the BeagleBoard XM last night, and discovered that
it's got a serial port. Does it work under RISC OS? Is it strictly for
debugging purposes? Reason being is that i'd like to try !ArcLink for
my Psion. Didn't want to waste my time if the serial port doesn't
work.
IIRC the BB serial port isn't fully wired (it was intended for debug
output if memory serves), whereas the Pandaboard one was.
This meant that really there wasn't a lot of joy to be had with BB
serial-wise, whereas Panda was much more successful.
That said, it can't hurt to try. However, bear in mind that most of
the Psion stuff is 26bit, and assumes Arc/RPC serial port.
From what I remember when someone was trying with ARMX6, it wasn't
overly successful.
CallerID etc may be a better test, and I know Heresay can be used
for test purposes, but how much luck you'll have with BBxM
is questionable.
