CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the Miniat organization.
Gentlemen,
Since many of you have asked, I thought it best to provide an update on
Cameron’s status.
He came home the day after his surgery, which was a bit unexpected. Typically
two days. But he is a bit stubborn (like his mom) and was ready to go, having
passed his cognitive and motors skills testing.
He wound up having two cavernous malformations removed, the largest one being
the size of a grape which caused his seizure 6-7 weeks ago. Much bigger than
the size of the end of your finger, which was what they told us two weeks ago.
He took another MRI the day after the surgery. We will all meet up with the
surgeon at the end of next week for a follow up. He will likely have periodic
MRIs to make sure that these do not reform or others grow. They unfortunately
found a third but very small malformation which will have to be watched closely.
He is taking pain killers and will still be on anti seizure meds for at least 3
months. No driving, drinking, or weightlifting during that time either. Golf is
possible soon, but as you all know, the Tober’s golfing is still a work in
progress……
But all being said, we are very blessed that he came through all of this well.
And thank you to all of your prayers and thoughts. Very much appreciated.
Tobe

Brothers,
Fantastic weekend! Many thanks to my Co-Chairs which were several and did most
of the work; Chris Tober’s welcome Mexi ”cue” was awesome. Thanks to all who
brought beer, wine and other assorted cocktails. Stan Spackeen did an
incredible job with golf on Friday as well as those who played earlier. He got
us the baseball tickets and boy that was fun; incredible weather and the #18
Cats beat USC 8-5 too. Stan organized the dinner Saturday night; whoa, we had
a lot of food and it was excellent. Mike Botelho got us a super deal for both
lodging and golf at La Paloma; congrats for being Pike of the Year! Thanks to
Charlie Finlan for the creative shirts and handling all the golf awards at both
courses.
As you can see, I just picked the dates and sent a few e-mails out to everyone.
Having a team like the guys listed above made this very easy; we’ll see you all
in 2022! Stay safe and hoping for a prosperous and healthy year.
BTW, If you have any photos of the events please share them with the group if
you are so inclined.
