[argyllcms] printer profiling is giving strange results using version 1.1.0

I tried to (re) profile my printers using the new version of argyll, but the
error of the resulting profile is way to high:

Profile check complete, errors: max. = 87.638880, avg. = 37.149847, RMS =
39.382635

Using argyll 1.0.4 for the same task shows the expected result (color laser):

Profile check complete, errors: max. = 9.377703, avg. = 2.257695, RMS = 2.600238

I tried generating the profile with the old and the new version of colprof,
which does not make a difference - the data created and acquired with the new
version always has a high error.

Here are the commands I used:

argyll-targen -v -d3 -G -f 1170 RGB_Printer (I also tried -d2)
printtarg -v -i SS -p A4 -h RGB_Printer
lp RGB_Printer.ps
chartread -v -c 5 RGB_Printer
colprof -v -A"Lexmark" -M"C530dn" -D"Printer-RGB" -C"RJ-2010"-qm -S
/usr/share/color/argyll/ref/sRGB.icm -cmt -dpp RGB_Printer

The HW I used to read the profile is a spectroscan/spectrolino device.

What do I have to change to get useable results?
