Hi,
it appears that X-Rite have slightly changed the usage of the
EEProm on the i1d3 with the A-02 revision of the device.
Assuming you are running Win 64 bit, you can try installing
the files here <http://www.argyllcms.com/insttools_win64.zip>
and see if that fixes the problem.
