Hi Roger,

I don't know what you aim to do with it, but -- besides Graeme's proposal -- maybe ColorSpace Conversion Profiles could be a substitute. You can use either Apple's "Generic Lab" or "Generic XYZ" Profiles or the "xyz.icc" profile I posted on Jan 31.

Example:

cd /System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/

icclu -ff Generic\ XYZ\ Profile.icc
0.33 0.33 0.33

0.330000 0.330000 0.330000 [XYZ] -> Lut ->
0.330000 0.330000 0.330000 [XYZ]

icclu -ff Generic\ Lab\ Profile.icc
50 0 0

50.000000 0.000000 0.000000 [Lab] -> Lut ->
50.000000 0.000000 0.000000 [Lab]

... but note that even though this profiles are "flawless" in itself, they can cause huge interpolation errors in combination with other profiles (unless you use them with Argyll 1.1.1 Beta).
