You can keep as is and have 100 neutral patches or remove as many as you
want and keep only 30 or whatever.
xicclu -s100 -ff -ir -pl sRGB.icm
xicclu -s100 -ff -ir -pl sRGB.icm
Now each patch correspond to CIELAB D50 2 degree observer from L* 1 to L*100
in step of 1
If you just open the file in PS and don't color manage, then the Lab values
PS shows are not 1,2,3,4...99,100.
In Gimp and in PWD both show RGB in % and Lab values are a match to what is
in outfile.ti1.
