I created a custom illuminant file:
spotread -a -s -H
then, after calibration, I pressed the instrument's button and then 's'

Hi, a quick look with specplot indicates that the illuminant spectrum
you have captured is:

 * very low level (not much light - practically zero)
 * has a low color temperature (2000K) that is far from the normal
daylight or black body spectrum locus (10 DE)
 * is extremely colored compared to D50 (85 DE)

If I were you, I would try capturing the illuminant again,
and check that it looks reasonable (what sort illuminant is it ?)
Try using the spotread -S flag.

Graeme Gill.
