Yes.

I assume the cctiff lines applies the profile we created with collink and
creates the printfile.tif and that this file needs to printed without color
management "ON". The Adobe print utility does that I think?

Yes. Or perhaps you can use the device link in Photoshop, but I don't
have any first hand experience with that, so don't know how/if it
is a viable alternative.

Though all this seems to be strait forward, I don't quite understand exactly
how it works and or how it's different then what happen in Lightroom?

Not sure what you don't understand.

Basic summary:

   Gamut mapping involves mapping from one gamut to another.
   Destination is the printer.
   Source is the gamut to be preserved.
   If the images fill their encoding space gamut, then the encoding
   space gamut can be used as the source gamut.
   If the images encoding space gamut is larger than the images, then
   the gamut of the images is what needs to be preserver.
