You've got 4GB of memory, don't you ?
There is a known issue with V1.0.4 on OS X
in dealing with the situation in which there
is more physical memory than virtual memory address space.
Try setting the ARGYLL_REV_CACHE_MULT environment variable
to a number less than 1.0 (ie. 0.5), and see if that
works around the problem.
