You say that I should accept the team's decision to work Sir, how can I force you to do a single thing? That's stupid. I have only one weapon and that is persuasion -- I *invite* you to consider my view and will not hold it against you in the least if you decline the invitation. Glenn and I work together every day, and he is the ultimate 'old code' guy, he won't stand to see one line of the old sources deleted, not #define CLEMTEST, not one failed doodle, not one bit of code that was replaced 10 years ago -- but we aren't rude to each other, we agree to disagree. > with your sources instead while at the same time you have proven unable > to accept the team's decision to use v190;J1 as the code base yourself. Decisions change, do they not? And did we every truly discuss it? How many people at AD have even looked at my src? How many have run my distro? Not you, that's for sure. Your opinion is all hot air, you don't even know what it is that you are not liking. Ron, Eric, Glenn, Bastiaan ... these guys have at least tried it, so there opinion is real. > You say that you share your code with the others, but in fact you have > kept it to yourself. There is no doubt that you would continue to do You get them from Glenn after he has imported them back into the old sources of course. Please explain why, if (and it probably won't happen but if ...) the others all chose to adopted my code, the team would no longer exist? Tyrant? On the contrary, my policy is that all people who use my code are equal as to how it is developed. Your vote on any subject would be equal to mine. Besides, the source is open, you could take it and do whatever you want with it, even if I hated it. Right now Glenn is packaging my core into a distro -- he has total control of that, not very tyranical IMHO. To be honest, I think if you truly had no interest in my work, you'd just let the subject die, instead you keep coming back with bad reasoning and nasty emotions. Why? Let me be bold enough to say why -- it's because one part of you knows I'm right, but some other part doesn't want to face it -- so you become rude due to inner conflict. Now I hope you just drop this subject or try to be polite even if you can't be reasonable. And I'm sorry if I myself have been a bit rude here. The rest will soon be sick of our debate, let's quit it. Regards, Ray Andrews -- Arachne;A1b;x0 Arachne at FreeLists -- Arachne, The Premier GPL Web Browser/Suite for DOS --
