As members of the APTA Oncology Nominations & Awards Committee, we would like
to update you on coming events and resources that are available to members,
clinics and students.
If you are interested in oncology rehab and want to get more involved, please

Interest Groups (SIGs) and Committees have opportunities for your
participation/involvement.
For students or new graduates, the Academy has established a new mentorship
committee. If you have worked in the field and want to become a mentor, there
is no training involved and the time obligation is based on your schedule. If
you are interested in being a part of the Mentorship Committee or interested in
being a Mentor, please reach out to

Did you know? The APTA Oncology membership recently approved a bylaw amendment
that removed dues for student members. Please share with your students that as
of January 1, 2023, they can add Oncology to their membership at no cost.
Lastly, we have listed links below to the Academy's Award information and
other resources.
Many members of the Academy do outstanding work that is worthy of recognition
by both the Academy and APTA. Please review the awards and awardee criteria
for Academy awards at (- https://oncologypt.org/shortcuts/member-awards/) and
APTA awards at (https://www.apta.org/apta-and-you/honors-awards). If you know
a member who is deserving of recognition, please consider nominating that
individual. The due date for Academy nominations is Oct. 1, 2022 and for APTA
nomination, Nov. 1, 2022. Members of the Board are very willing to assist you
with a nomination.
