So there was an Apple event today. First and foremost Mac OS X 10.9 Maverix is available as of today and is completely free! Yes you heard it right, completely free! Like iOS updates are for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Speaking of iPads, Apple announced the second generation iPad Mini with retina display, available from the 1st of November. The original iPad Mini will still be on sale but at a lower price. Apple also announced a re-branding of the regular iPad, called the iPad Air, the lightest tablet on the market according to Apple weighing just one pound. The iPad 2 is now the entry level iPad. For Mac hardware Apple announced a new range of Macbook Pro and Mac Pro laptop and desktop computers respectively. Finally iLife, a creativity and productivity suite from Apple, is now free with every new Mac and iOS device purchase.iLife includes Garage Band music production software and iPhoto photo editor. iWorks include Pages word processor, Numbers spreadsheet and Keynote presentation. iWorks like iLife has been updated and is free to all new Mac and iOS device purchases.
