All I do is to lock my phone, which breaks the bluetooth connection between the
two, and then press the home button on the Mantis which will take you back to
the main menu.

Hi,
Didn’t know how to shorten the subject line lol.
This is the story.
Mantis q40, iPhone SE and ios 1541 which I don’t think that matters.
When I don’t want to use the mantis anymore with my phone, I navigate on the
mantis to settings and Bluetooth. Where it says Bluetooth on, I enter on it,
now it’s off.
I still have blutooth on on the iphone.
The problem I’m having is I cannot type in text messages, any edit fields
basically.
A sighted person began typing, then the onscreen keyboard popped up.
Folks have mentioned that some notetakers have a command to turn on the
onscreen keyboard, but I don’t think the mantis does.
How can I resolve this issue. It’s frustrating. I’ve even went as far as to
turn Bluetooth off on my phone and restart it. The onscreen keyboard is still
nowhere to be found. Thanks to any and all responses.
