Hi Dan. The only way that I know of to use the Mantis with an Android device
using the Google braille support is by plugging a cable in from phone or
device to braille display. Then, it is supposed to work properly. Do you
have the ability to do that?

I listened to a podcast where one of the presenters mentioned that the
latest Android update allows the Mantis and other Braille displays using the
new HID protocol to work without having to use BRLTTY? I tried using native
Braille support, but it didn't work. I ended up reenabling BRLTTY in the
accessibility settings. I also heard on the same podcast that Google isn't
intending to adopt the new HID standard anytime soon. I can use native
Braille support by BlueTooth on older Braille displays but why should I have
to do that?
