Hi,
I have recently come to AntiSpam without any previous experience of the
program. This is because Martin Avison has now included AntiSpam as a
mail transport for the latest version of Pluto news/mail reader and I
needed to find out how this might affect my setup for networking Pluto.
I realise the long history of AntiSpam is as a mail spam eliminator but
now with the incorporation of MSC it has become a fully fledged mail
transport application. However, coming completely fresh to it I found
some difficulties in using it. The initial problem was I couldn't make it
send any mail. The only button I could see was the Start button in the
Progress window and this only fetched mail, as did clicking on the icon
bar icon, fortunately Martin told me there was a Send entry on the icon
bar menu which I had completely missed. Can I suggest that the human
interface is made easier to use now AntiSpam is acting as a full mail
transport by changing the button on the Progress windows from Start to
Fetch and adding a new button (there is space) labelled Send, or
alternatively make the start button initiate both fetch and send,
something I think you were discussing earlier.
Martin also alerted me to the -adjustsend switch which I found really
useful. I noted that you could put additional switches in a CLSwitches
file stored in the Choices directory. I tried this with the -adjustsend
switch, but could not make it work. I tried it with and without a leading
space before the switch and with and without a new line after the switch
but without any effect, is this a bug?
There is no guidance on the format of CLSwitches in StrongHelp.
It would be useful to me in Networking Pluto to have this working, as
AntiSpam choices are migrated from the Master installation to the
dependant thus keeping all settings in parallel between the networked
Plutos and removing the need to edit the AntiSpam !Run file.
