Dear Anti-Racism Members,
The executive committee asked the anti-racism workgroup to lead a
Chapter-wide discussion on how our chapter should respond to the
series of right-wing demonstrations that have been organized (and to
continue) in Portland. The discussion will be in a meeting separate
from the regular work group and chapter meetings. Tentatively, it's to
be held in September when DSA members are back from their summer
vacation. We need ideas for logistics and agenda. Logistics is the
where, when, and how. And the agenda is what we hope to produce in the
meeting and what specific issues we discuss. Please send your ideas
to me or Adrienne via email or Slack direct messages as soon as
possible, so we can compile them and still have time for review. Any
help with logistics is appreciated. I'd also like to hear your
opinions on counter-protests and tactics.
