This Saturday, Jan 12, at 6:30 pm, 25 Amish MDS volunteers from La Grange,
Indiana are arriving at the Austin Amtrak station. They will be met there
by a rented 15 passenger van driven by Michael Shirk, two minivans driven
by Pat and Steve Hochstetler, and one car driven by Ruth Anne Abraham.
Everyone will be loaded into the vehicles with their luggage. (Steve will
maybe be towing a small trailer for the luggage.) The two minivans and car
will head to the MDS site in La Grange, Texas. The 25 passenger van will
swing by the airport to add a driver to the rental agreement and then head
to the La Grange, Texas MDS site. The volunteers will work at the La Grange
MDS site for two weeks and then come back to Austin to catch the train back
to La Grange, Indiana. The details for transportation back to Austin have
not been worked out yet. We will keep you posted.
