When Harvey hit us last year, it was the costliest natural disaster in
American history and the first major hurricane to make landfall in the
states since 2005. Many of you wanted to know how you could help or what
you could do. There are always opportunities to serve
In Victoria county, as the result of Harvey, MDS volunteers are staying in
the annex building of the First Baptist Church in Bloomington, Texas. The
office, dining, and restrooms are all in the church building with a shower
trailer right outside. MDS will be focusing on repair work from hurricane
and flood damage. For more information.

In La Grange county there are specific opportunities also stemming from
Harvey. Volunteers will be staying at the Dorm Building at Camp Lost Pines
<http://www.camplostpines.com/> where showers and restrooms are in the
building. Most of the work is geared toward new home construction. Help is
sought for:
November 25-December 1, 2018
December 2-8
December 9-15

The Service and Outreach Committee will be evaluating whether AMC can
support a team to respond. If interested please let one of us (Josh, Pam,
Bob, Clayton) know.
