Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are staying safe during this crisis! It's a trying time for
everyone especially Hilda, Ivan, and Alirio (persons in sanctuary in
Austin). We are working hard at getting them a stay of removal based on
the added dangers they face during this coronavirus crisis. Would you be
willing to sign a petition to ask Texas congressional members to convince
ICE to grant the stay? I've included a link to a blog that has, in
addition to a link to the petition, 5 action items that you could choose
from to help Hilda, Ivan, and Aliro. Signing the petition I think is
probably the easiest one to do. Could you take a second to sign it? The
other 4 actions include: donating to help pay for materials for masks that
Hilda and Aliriio are making and donating to the homeless and the Austin
State Supported Living Center, spreading the word on social media, setting
up a meeting with leaders of faith communities or organizations to have a
zoom meeting with Hilda, Ivan, and Alirio, and to share this blog with
