“Welcome!,” a Sunday school class exploring the book, Fusion: Turning
First Time Guests Into Fully Engaged Members of Your Church, by Nelson
Searcy (Baker, 2017). We will be discussing this book, sharing our own
experiences, and developing ways to help AMC welcome guests. High school
and above are welcome. Read through page 154, Chapter 8 , “taking
ownership.” (this class meets in-person at the church and online)
11:00 am - Worship Service: (in-person at the church and online - Zoom) The
Widow’s Mite. What motivates my generosity? Do I give to be recognized by
others? Out of a sense of obligation or duty? Or do I share my gifts with
the sense that I am participating in God’s generous actions in the world?
