*The family is concerned about having too many people in the church during
these covidious times and so they have created ways for folks to
participate via Zoom and other venues. Here is what Cara (Rebecca's
daughter) has shared:*
We're writing to share plans for the Rebecca Lowe memorial birthday
weekend, as well as links to various obituaries that begin to describe her
sweet and full life. We will celebrate her life in the days ahead and
continue to thank our lucky stars to've known her. If changes in weather or
COVID dictate, we may shift to an online model and/or 2022 gatherings--stay
tuned.
- We will hold a small memorial service on Saturday 12/11 at 2 PM at
Austin Mennonite Church on Westminster Drive. We will provide a link later
to participate online, and the service will also be recorded and
archived. *We
respectfully request that all who attend in person be vaccinated, masked,
and appropriately distanced. **We are doing our best to navigate
prevailing public health conditions in a way that minimizes risk for one
and all--especially for Rebecca's 98-year-old father. *
- We will host an informal come-and-go gathering on Sunday 12/12 from
2-5 PM at the old Fisher Hollow homestead. Beverages and light snacks will
be provided, but you are welcome to bring a sip or a bite to share. Sunday
will be a time to swap stories and to begin to share the love that Rebecca
left behind.* As with the AMC service, "best practices" for these risky
times are respectfully requested (vax/mask/distance).* If your location,
health, or circumstances preclude your attendance, photographs will be
taken and posted online for all to enjoy.
