things seem so important and the more of us that know the better.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, 1/31) at 9 am there is a chance to stand up with
Muslims
at the State Capitol. The instructions say not to engage protestors and
not
to bring signs. We are there to stand in solidarity with our Muslim
community as they come to the capital for Texas Muslim Capitol Day. We
want
to be a buffer for them, because we assume there will be a counter
protest.
"Texas Muslim Capitol Day is a biennial citizen lobby day taking place
at
the Capitol. This year’s lobby day is happening in what is probably the
most hostile climate for Texas Muslims since 2001."
