Thursday evening at 6:30pm there will be a meal gathering at the church
followed by footwashing and communion. Some traditions call this a love
feast <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agape_feast>.
Maundy Thursday <https://www.gotquestions.org/Maundy-Thursday.html> is a
commemoration of the last supper where Jesus washes the feet of the
disciples. Our focus will be on service and peace. We will hear about the
life of Michael Sharp, a U.N. peace worker who recently lost his life in
the Congo as he worked to help bring peace to that troubled region.
A couple of people have signed up to help with music and food. We need a
few more volunteers. Would you be willing to help with food, music, or the
footwashing supplies? Please let me know in the next day or two.
6:30pm - Simple meal of soup, veggies, bread, etc.
7:15pm - footwashing, communion.
