You are invited to an event at my house (see invitation below) on
Wednesday, December 11 - one week from today. This event will benefit
Trinity Child Development Center and also be a chance to get some of your
Christmas Shopping done!
While I am on that theme I would also like to remind you of two other
events that are important for the CDC:
1. *This Saturday is Sharing with Santa* - it is an event designed to turn
the "getting" spirit of Christmas into a "giving" spirit. Children come sit
on Santa's lap and tell him what they are hoping to give for Christmas and
also bring a gift for the Blue Santa program. They also have a chance to
"shop" for gifts for their parents and other family members which are then
wrapped for them. There is a place for them to make a craft present also.
For you there is a Silent Auction with some beautiful and wonderful things
to purchase for yourself or others as gifts. It is from 10-1 this Saturday.
2. Also on Tuesday, December 10 a percentage of the proceeds of what is
sold from *5-9 pm at Ten Thousand Villages *on South Congress will be
donated to the CDC.
So, you can avoid the mall and shop for a purpose :-)
