| What a perfect gift poet Amanda Gorman delivered to the world last week. We
here at the Black Bodies Project are motivated to act. We know from our own
history that even small actions taken toward love, respect, compassion, and
empathy can be monumental moves for humanity.We would like to invite YOU to act
with us. The investment is a small one: a little more than an hour of your time
this Wednesday evening at 6 pm CST. Our project has teamed up with the City of
Austin to host a “Community Conversation” about the impacts of racism. We’re
hoping for an open, candid, interactive, and enlightening discussion about why
racism persists in our society. We’ll listen to people who eloquently describe
what racism can look and feel like. And, we’ll explore ways to eradicate this
burden. |
