Austin Mennonite Church has several standing committees that contribute to the life and function of the church. The committees consist of people who volunteer to participate in the activities that these committees perform. The amount of involvement varies for the different committees with some having weekly activities while others only on an occasional basis. In general, the people on the committees serve for a period of about two years, although people can serve longer if they choose. At this point, there are several openings in the committees and people are encouraged to consider which one(s) you are interested in. It is also beneficial to get new people involved to have new ideas and views in the functions of the committees. Involvement with the committees does not require that you be a full church member, but rather that you are interested in participating in the life of Austin Mennonite Church. The attached documents provide a brief description of the activities of each of the committees along with a list of the current members. Please consider which committee you would be interested in joining, fill in the information on the bottom of the attached document and return to either Garland or Dan Thiessen.
