In our adult Sunday discussion yesterday I mentioned Christmas observance in China. I thought you might find this e-mail interesting. Note the Christmas greetings from China. To the best of my knowledge she is not a Christian, or at least has never mentioned religion to me. The attached is from a woman I know in China. I first met her when she was a graduate student in Shanghai in 1984-85. She was one of the last to leave Tiananmen Square after the mass killings in 1989, and was punished severely for her activities. I have met with her on two subsequent trips to China. She now works tirelessly to reform Chinese education, and was one of those who took it upon herself to fly from Beijing (at her own expense) to the earthquake devastated areas in far west China a year ago. The sort of personwho gives hope for the future. Unfortunately several of the attached jpegs were corrupted in transmission. I have included the body of her e-mail below and have attached the two jpegs which were not corrupted. --- On Mon, 12/22/08, =E5=90=B4=E8=93=93 <platorose@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: =E5=90=B4=E8=93=93 <platorose@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: Fw: =E7=85=A7=E7=89=87 > Date: Monday, December 22, 2008, 6:54 AM > Dear All: > I tried to practice Waldorf in the schools for the > children of migrant workers .Their parents came from > countryside.
