*Sharing of Joys and Concerns from Sunday, April 12, 2020, Easter*
- Donna - I am so excited to be at church (Zoom)! It has been a long
time. Pray for me. I had a sore throat and yesterday they did a Covid-19
test on me and I am isolated again. (Update - The test came back negative!
Probably allergies.) Thank you to Gloria for helping me connect. Pray for
the homeless and for mental health struggles during the isolation of this
pandemic.
- Several comments: Appreciation for music, great seeing and hearing the
singing of Ron Diener and Aaron Gerber (former members), amazing use of
peeps with Stacy's children's story, nice to see people from far away -
Judy, Dan, Ray, Carl, Laura, Rocio... Thank you to Becca for amazing tech
skills.
- Rocio (Bolivia) - Hi, thanks for letting me enter, I adore the songs,
are very beautiful and the amazing idea for thinking on children! So cute!
greetings from Bolivia! regards to all and specially to Helena, Hal, Brisa
and Omar. It really fills my heart. specially on this wonderful day for all
Christians.
- Erica Mason introduced herself and brought greetings. Please offer
prayer as I have lost people I know to Covid-19.
- Gloria - Prayers for everyone not feeling well today. My one year old
granddaughter has a fever today.
- Dixie - My brother in law Sean has recovered fully from Covid-19.
- Laura - Carl continues to do well. My mother is well. We are blessed.
- Stacey F. - Pray for my parents. They now have two caregivers coming
daily to help.
- Charlotte - Our friend Kim in Nevada lost her 25 year son to Covid-19.
The family is not able to mourn because of the physical distancing.
- Irma - I am asking for prayers for my peace of mind and faith during
this time.
- Jen - My uncle Raymond died this morning. It is both a joy and
concern. A joy for his life and faith, but we are feeling the loss of
him and the lack of an in-person funeral.
- Peggy - George is not feeling well and is struggling with isolation.
- Mary Alexander - I am looking forward to my whole family having a zoom
meeting this afternoon.
- Pat - We attended the Raleigh Mennonite Church online this morning and
learned that a friend of ours has a niece in Florida who lost her husband
to the Covid-19 virus. Pray for her and for all those who are losing loved
ones in a time when funerals are very difficult.
- Lee - Continue to pray for Kaitlin and Josh and her family with the
death of Kaitlin's father to Covid-19.
- Lee - Pray for each other and for those who are suffering because of
the COVID-19 pandemic. Lord have mercy.
- Lee - I will be attending an online webinar (Eastern Mennonite
Seminary) this Thursday, " “Pastoral Care in the Time of Covid-19 and
Beyond” which will include a facilitated discussion on grief/loss without
physical presence, caring for others from a distance, caring for ourselves,
etc.
- Austin Sanctuary Network - Hilda and Alirio (persons in sanctuary) are
busy making masks for the homeless and the Austin State Supported Living
