*Sharing of Joys and Concerns from Sunday, June 16, 2019*

   - Pat - Susan Dixon and her family moved on Friday and Saturday! It was
   hard work but they are settled into their new apartment at 10101 S 1st St,
   Apt 212, Austin TX 78748. Tomas, Sr. moved in on Monday. The unpacking
   continues. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
   - Larry - I enjoyed the energy and effort of the youth and sponsors at
   the carwash fundraiser on Saturday morning. Our VW van roof has never been
   more clean! Twenty years of oak sap has been removed. Thanks! Dolly and I
   will be traveling this summer. We are leaving this week.
   - Peggy - Larry Nowland, my cousin in San Antonio needs help. His truck
   broke down. He has been a caregiver for his mother.

   - Stacey - Happy Father's Day to everyone. Pray for Miguel's dad with
   health concerns. Pray for my dad also, his shunt is not working well and he
   is struggling.
   - Alberto - I am thankful that Kenley is doing better and gaining some
   weight. Pray for my uncle Tilo who needs surgery. The family is trying to
   raise $15,000 for the surgery. Contact Dama Torres if you would like to
   make a donation to help the family. Tilo is married to Dama's youngest
   sister.
   - Bob Knipe - Pray for Becca and I as we travel this summer. We are
   leaving this week and will return in August.
   - George - Pray for me as I work at renewing my musical skills and
   interests.
   - Lee - Pray for Moon and Kenneth Evans and Collin as they move to
   Madison, Wisconsin.
   - Dama - I am happy this morning. I love the church. I am glad when I
   come to worship here with my family.
   - Larry - The Austin Independent School District is making difficult
   choices this year related to budget and school closures. It seems like a
   band aid approach and doesn't address the real needs and seems to impact
   the most vulnerable communities.
   - Katie Mitchell-Koch (visitor from Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church,
   Wichita, Kanas) - Greetings to Austin Mennonite Church from LAMC! Good to
   be with you today.

Jun 20, THU, 6:30pm – Women’s Group at Sandi Wilcox’ home, 5505 Mapleleaf
Dr. The group will be discussing the book, Becoming, by Michelle Obama.

Schedule for Sunday, June 23, 2019:

9:30am - Sunday school for all ages. The adult class is exploring a book by
popular author Rachel Held Evans entitled, Inspired: Slaying Giants,
Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again. Today the class will be
covering pages 59-79, “The Walls” and, “War Stories.”

10:30am - Snacks, coffee, tea.

11am - Worship - "We are one in Christ Jesus," Galatians 3:23-29, the way
of Jesus encourages us to have an expansive understanding of the human
family. *There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free,
there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.*

Jun 30, SUN – Fifth Sunday Hymn Sing.

Jul 2-6, TUE-SAT - Mennonite Church USA Convention in Kansas City. Four
adults and eight youth from AMC will be attending.

Jul 5, FRI, 6pm - AMC Volunteers serve meal at the ARCH.

Jul 7, SUN - Sunday school and worship with Dr. James Puglisi preaching,
communion. Potluck fellowship meal. Youth Group meets.

Jul 14, SUN - Sunday school, worship, Fellowship Committee, Contemplative
Prayer Group.

Jul 18, THU, 6:30pm - Women’s Group.

Jul 21, SUN - Sunday school, worship, Youth Group meets.

Jul 26-27, FRI-SAT - Annual Assembly of Western District Conference, Bethel
College, North Newton, Kansas.
