*Austin Mennonite Church Covenant for 2019

On Sunday, February 3, 2019 during the worship service persons were invited
to sign the 2019 Austin Mennonite Church Covenant. The covenant is an
expression of the values, practices and aspirations of the AMC community.
It will be on display in the entrance area of the church throughout the
year. If you would like to participate in this covenant you are invited to
add your name to the others who have signed the covenant. The covenant is
on the AMC website.
*++++ Sharing of Joys and Concerns from Sunday, February 3, 2019*
- Lee - Bob Koehn is home after a week in the hospital with respiratory
and heart issues. He has a pacemaker now. He is doing well.
- Bob Knipe - I am excited about the nonprofit CO Lab
<http://www.colabcommunitymakers.org/>, a group of community
makers whose mission is to support makers of all backgrounds as they
develop into self-reliant creators and active participants in the Maker
Movement.
- Daniel - I got to see my Dad recently
- Ann - Continue to pray for Donna Wills.
- Jen - Pray for my pianist friend, Luke, who injured his hand when he
intervened to help someone being harassed. He is discouraged about not
being able to play piano right nowl.
- Sandi - Pray for Peggy and George who are dealing with a flu bug.
- Marcia - Pray for my stepfather who will be having a heart
catherization this week.
- Dama - Pray for my sister Gloria in Florida who has been in and out of
the hospital with severe headaches. She is confused and unable to get a
clear diagnosis.
- Susan - Pray for my friend's mom (Irene) who is undergoing chemo
treatments. They are having some ups snd downs with the treatment.
- Miguel - It's my son Matthew's 22nd birthday today. Pray for him and
for me. We are estranged from each other. Pray for my father in law who has
been in the hospital since Christmas and is hoping to be released soon. He
will need ongoing care. Pray for Stacey as she has taken on more of the
care giving for her father.
- Jayden - My brother Kenly turned 10 years old! (We sang Happy Birthday
to Kenly!)
- Pat - I encourage everyone to take advantage of the rug sale going on
at Ten Thousand Villages

- Hannah - Pray for Clayton's brother, Alex, as he moves to Austin from
Ohio.

Feb 8, FRI, 6:30-8:30pm - AMC Small Group meets at the church. Anyone is
welcome to participate. Bring a dish to share. After the meal the group
will be viewing and discussing the 20 minute video, "What is the Gospel"
with Lisa Sharon Harper. There will be a time of sharing and prayer as

Mar 1, FRI, 9:30 - 11:30 AM - Church Women United will hold a World Day of
Prayer service hosted by Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1010 E. 10th St, Austin.
Luke 14:15-24 is the basis for theme "Come! Everything is Ready!"
Refreshments are served 9:30 and will include a powerpoint presentation on
Slovenia. Slovenia is the writer country for 2019. Please come to learn
about Slovenia and join with people around the world in prayer and Bible
