You could also try taping standard backing to the fast frame and not use the 
sticky backing at all. You will have to use some type of "low profile" clamps 
to clip on the sides of the fast frame after slipping the pant leg on it to 
hold the material in place. This works very well.

You do need low profile clamps or clips so they don't come in contact with the 
grabber or any part of the machine during a trace or while sewing, some people 
use the stationary binder clips and flip the spring wire flat on the garment 
and/or small alligator style clips found at places like Home Depot. 

Using too big of a clamp  and allowing it to contact the needle case and/or the 
grabber assembly that is connected to the needle case during atrace and/or 
sewing, can result in knocking the needle case loose and dropped needle 
bars----tech call time....so be careful using this method!!
