I have not sewn on any leather yet but I had our salesman Mark run some samples
before we bought our machine. He mentioned loosing some density and to use a
titanium needle with a very heavy backing almost a canvas type material. All
really turned out great.I had bought 1/2 hide of 4 oz.? weight leather. Plenty
to practice on for sure.I bought the leather at a Tandy store.
