You need the backlash spring in a pigtail bobbin case when you are using metal
bobbins. Otherwise, they will spin like crazy.
A reference card from Madeira recommends size 11 or 14 needles for 30 wt.
threads. I'd go with either just as long as I didn't have any thread breaks.
FSL definitely goes a lot faster on the Amaya. Try it, you'll like it! :)
