Yes, only AOS needs to be run in compatibility mode, DS runs natively in 7.
From what I have heard, Melco is holding off for 4-6 months on AOS running in
native mode to make sure Microsoft doesn't change anything in the networking
featureset - but they intend to get there. I also understand that internally,
they have been running in compatability mode with no issues for a good number
of months now and things are smooth.
