When the material thickness is set too high you will get false bobbin breaks. Ok, why is my machine telling me the bobbin is broke when its not. Changed the tension in bobbin, put in new needle, then put in new bobbin as it kept happening, now I'm at a loose as what to try. Any suggestions? I had to have a repairman out once, and he was really great at explaining some stuff I had never even thought of. The tension bar -- the bar the thread wraps around before it goes back up -- has less give on the extremes - 1, 2, 15 and 16. Since it has less give, the thread pulls harder. Ever since he told me that, I go into settings by color and set the needles 1, 2, 15 and 16 with one or two extra points. Sometimes I'll slow it down 200 or 300 spm as well. This has really been a HUGE help since I use Rayon. Hope this helps, Judy
