are you referring to the 3d view compared to the stitch view?
I'm actually fairly new to the software myself..
the actually button to toggle the view connectors if you look on your property
tool bar you will see a yellow icon that says 3d, go 2 buttons to the right and
you will see a button that's 2 circles connected by a dotted line. that's the
actual button.
