No, I haven't done that but it sounds like a great idea. THANKS!

Hi Kip -

have you tried having outlook or whatever mail client you use filtering all
mail from this list to a specific folder in your email client? I have
outlook send everything with [amayausers] in the subject line to a folder I
created called (heh) amayausers.

Just a way to get control of the clutter. I do the same thing for supplier
emails, big customers etc.

And I have the exact opposite opinion - so there you go - can't please them
all! I love the idea that I can go to the message boards when it's
convenient for me and catch up on the postings.

In fact, the only posts to the board that I would like to see get echoed to
the user list are the posts that need immediate attention because somebody's
machine is down or something along those lines. Anything that can help the
'in box' of my email stay less cluttered and devoted to incoming orders is
what I'm for!

John,

You are absolutely correct - we are creatures of habit. While I like the
new website - I don't like it for posting. If all the messages on the boars
would be sent also to email, then that would be ok. My mail tool is what I
have in common with everything that I do. So I would like to see all
discussion posted by email. Typically, I read AmayaList messages as the
come in so that I can stay abreast of things. My mail tool is always up
since much of work is email dependent (orders, etc.) I really do not want to
go to another window (website, etc.) to look at discussion for the Amaya.
Bottom line, for me, it won't happen unless I'm having a problem and need to
find an answer.

No, right now - the way we did this was that posts on the boards were echoed
here. This is a trial only - with the idea of getting people used to the
boards - and seeing what is being posted here. We are all creatures of
habit, and because it's new, you might not think of looking at the site. We
may well shut it off after a few days or a week.

Again, the idea was to use the list for emergency requests, and use the
boards for everything else eventually.

So, bottom line is, posts here to the list don't get copied to or replied to
on the boards. Posts on the boards right now get copied to the list.

We're experimenting. You may all hate it or love it. Let us know.

John, thanks.

Another question, are all questions posted both to the web site and email?
Or is it only 1 direction? I am seeing postings on the website that I have
not seen/received in email. It makes the email reading very interesting. I
might be seeing an answer but not see or know the question!  :}

Interesting. I will look at the software to see what I can change. Might
take a little picking of the code.

John,

This is partially a test and/or a change. I've been receiving the
AmayaUsers Notification but the true subject is not seen since it is at the
very last (after 46 characters) e.g.

[amayausers]AmayaUsers Moderator Notification:Lettering

Since I will read most of the messages in my mail tool, I cannot see the
real subject e.g. "Lettering" unless I go directly to the message and read
the whole line. Anyway to change this?
