If you put the hat down, it just flops medium structured: inside the cap may be an ironed on buckram or coarse thread 'liner' on the front panel. Hat can sit 'up' on it's on, but with some wear time, gets soft and doesn't stay stiff full structure; inside the hat will be a very stiff buckram liner, or a plastic mesh liner. Hat has a definite 'face panel' shape-almost straight.
