It's been explained a few times in the last few weeks since we seem to have a
few new members - but here goes again...
All posts to the discussion board are echoed/copied here to the list.
It is not the same the other way around. Posts to the list are not posted back
to the discussion boards.
So, when you reply to someone who originally posted their question on the
boards here on the list, they don't see your reply. So, all your well
appreciated efforts in trying to help that person are wasted.
As far as the reason for doing this - that's in the list archives ;) Too tired
to type.

Just wondering . . . what's the difference? I posted both ways and I was able
to see both my replies. Is it that not everyone gets the email directly to
their mailbox that is a member? Do I get everything that's posted? Not sure how
you've setted this up actually.

Debbie,
I'm not sure what the file names are but a tech would know right away. If
you manually delete these two or three files and reboot, the OS and DS can
start off with nothing previously saved in the cache memory. Worth a try.

Well...the saga continues!! It's back to it's old tricks. I loaded a Dakota
design that I've done a number of times (eagle head with a flag in it's
beak). It was about 35,000 stitches and it was stitched on the back yoke of
a black twill. When it finished it started back up again, but not on color
#1. The next project was a denim shirt with a logo that consisted of 4 satin
letters about 1 1/2 inch in size. It was digitized in Generations and
stopped after it was done stitching...no restart!!! My sister-in-law brought
up the fact that I have a laptop hooked up to the XT instead of a
desktop...but, I had the laptop hooked up to old red for 2 years, so how
could that be? Debbie in Indiana
