The best thing to do is purchase a Linksys switch ( $27 from Amazon

You can hook up to 8 devices to it so you could actually use both computers and
5 other EMT machines at the same time. The eighth port would be from your
router so you have internet access. If you need cables, you can find many on
ebay for dirt cheap prices. I would suggest cat5e or cat6 cabling and make sure
it is a couple feet longer than what you need.

Thank you very much. The only question I have is in setting up my old computer
to run the machine. Way back when I first started I had the computer and the
machine connected to each other with the Ethernet cable (I still have it) but
when I moved it had been disconnected for quite a while because of a computer
melt down. I just purchased a new computer so would like to set up the old one
to just use for embroidery.
When I get all of the junk out of the old computer I will give you a call if
that is ok. It might be a month or more as I just had shoulder surgery so not
doing to much yet.
