What we do on a non xt is hit the estop - move the carriage all the way back and all the way right. Then turn the machine off. Then bring up the os Then turn the machine on. Usually at that point, it finds the correct center. If not, you'll want to clean your sensor and possibly the rail that it senses where the proper place to stop is.
