Michael, Thanks, I love Home Depot! My email is shuffemb@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx I would definitely like to see a picture of them. I certainly have never heard of them before, but sounds like just the ticket for the job. By the way, I use Microsoft Outlook Professional and I see the "original sender" email address on all the posts from the group. I hope this isn't a concern for anyone, but it sounds like not everyone can see it. Mary, I have been cleaning the bobbin area on my machine for almost 3.3 yrs with WD-40. That being said I have never sprayed WD-40 into the bobbin area. I spray the WD-40 into an old pickle jar lid and I soak a PURITAN cotton tipped applicator and then swab the entire area to remove any residual adhesive. These swabs have a wooden stick that is about 6" long. If you flex the wooden stick as you rotate it between your hands it will splinter leaving two pieces of the stick with relatively sharp tips that work very well to remove the adhesive in and around the hook basket and under the hook itself. I use quire a bit of sticky backing and have to clean this area about once a month fairly thoroughly with WD-40 and the cotton tipped applicators. If you send me your personal email I will send you a photo of the applicators unless you a familiar with them. I believe that I purchased them at Home Depot. Hi everyone. It sure got quiet on the list. I'm wondering if anything is wrong. A question I have for the group is how to clean the bobbin area after using sticky stabilizers. I had to clean a needle after only a small amount of stitching using the fast frames. Is this usual? Is there a brand of sticky stabilizer that is better than others for use with fast frames? Thanks for any advice. Mary Mary Buckle Shuffletown Embroidery Charlotte, NC 704-398-1273
