Our local Aubuchons, hardware store down the street, all the lumber yards-all
have a 'hand tool punch' set for grommets-usually 2-3 sizes. Don't bother with
the 'plier' type kit-it won't hold up. You want the one with the steel punch
and die block-uses a hammer. If you are going to do a lot, buy a 'banner'
grommet machine-looks like a bottle capper. I finally bought one last year
after 15 years of hand punching and we use it every week. (Banners, not
towels). Just load it and pull the handle-fast and sweet.. Or, check with your
local 'sign and banner' shop and see if they have one and would let you come in
and grommet your towels. I'd let you do it here for about 50¢ a grommet...would
save you tons of time and expense of buying your own.
