100% absotootly get it! We had nothing but trouble for 2 years with minor problems getting =20 decent sewouts... then the warranty ran out, and we opted for the extended package. =20 $100 per month, plus a 'deductible'...I don't even know what it is...I don't write the checks. Anyways, week after we signed up, got a call-WITH the extended =20 warranty comes a head to toe service check up! Tech showed up-he had no idea we had a machine-he's only an hour and =20 a half away...no one ever told him. Spent a day here...and solved every single problem we had run into-=20 the red baby had never, ever done such nice work! It was all minor adjustments...plus he showed us =20= some tricks and tips. And then...a month later...the needle bar came =20 down....cachunk...thud...nothing. The rotator cam follower whatchamacallit snapped right off! Called him, he ordered the part, 2 days later installs it, all fixed, =20= another quick checkup... and no problems in the past year-he was here again last month for the =20= annual checkup. Our $100 per month bill covered his trip, everything except the 'co-=20 pay' amount which was trivial. What WOULD it have cost? Figuring his travel time, minimum =20 bill, couple hours here, the part...I'd estimate a $500 or more charge. Herb, Rod, you =20 probably would know. The peace of mind knowing that the warranty is still working is well =20 worth it-just the annual 'free checkup' is probably normally a $300 or more bill if we had to =20 call him 'off warranty'. Now, if that little part hadn't broken and the needle HEAD had gotten =20= damaged instead... I've heard that can cost THOUSANDS! But with the warranty....sleep =20= easy at night! That's my 2=A2 worth! I'm paying MORE than that monthly for the extended warranty on my =20 digital printer... because the print heads on THAT have been replaced twice in 6 months-=20 at $3,000 per job!
