This is just in regards to your freezing up issues. I was having similar issues
and found out that most (but not all) of the problem was that my computer's
processor wasn't big enough. I've heard from others on this board that DS takes
a lot of processing power. I was using an old Dell desktop and then a new
emachine, but both had slow processors (CPU). So I just purchased a desktop
with an Intel i5 processor and it's much better. I still have one issue that
causes a freeze up and I plan on contacting Melco about it. It's when I have
text on an arc and if I select just one of the letters and try to move it
left/right by clicking and dragging--many times it freezes up still! I thought
at first it was an issue related to TrueType fonts, but it also does it when
using Melco alphabets. I think it might be related to the arc because the blue
line under the text that you see on an arc, turns into a blue line sticking out
on a strange angle. I'm curious if anyone else has had this
issue? (Sorry, I know I digressed and that's not the issue that this post was
really about!)
