If it helps I just did some sweats for the first time last week. I put the
design 3-4" down from the waist band and 3-4" in from the outer seam. It
depends a little on the size of your design. But I 100% agree with Julie and
Roland. I asked my customer how far down they wanted it prior to sewing. This
way if they do not like it then too bad.
