IT boils down to how many pieces an hour can you sew? Not worth 'giving it away' if you can't make a profit! Chances are if they get a bid from a large head shop you will be blown right out of the water...but if it's a lot of individual pieces, names, etc. you might have the advantage-large shops need to keep all their heads running. Running individual stuff

drives them nuts.
YOu need to make a percentage markup PLUS freight on the incoming goods, then your 'supplies' (backing, thread, bobbins, etc.) plus your 'time' to sew...easier than figureing out
per stitches.

I have been asked to submit a bid for a large business which will include several different types of garments for clothing allowances for their employees. This is at least a $16-$20K budget. Can anyone give me an idea what percent mark up I should use since it will be such a large volume???

Thanks!
