Where was you presser foot when you were having issues, and where did you go with it?

I was having trouble with auto-actifeed until I found
out I could change the presser foot height. Since I
have been adjusting the presser foot height I have
been having much better luck on auto-actifeed.

Don't know if this will help your situation, but it
definitely helped mine.

I have attempted to use this feature several times
with no luck. My machines do exactly as you have
described. Starts at a realistic MT then within a
few hundred (at most) stitches it drops to a 1-2 and
stays there. I have experimented with different
bobbin tension with no luck. I do have the new
CSA/RSA files installed. They helped with some very
long tails I was getting but have not done anything
with the Acti-Feed. Waiting to hear more on this
subject.

Another question ..

I have the auto acti-feed radio button selected.
Design sews, gets a thread break, the MT immediately
is 1 (had been sewing at 5). Fix thread break,
press start, the MT stays at 1, keeps sewing until
another thread break. The MT never goes back up
after a thread break.

Experiment #2, same design, it's sewing along, MT
5 on auto acti-feed, thread break - MT 1, fix
thread, set MT 5 with auto acti-feed still on, press
start, keeps sewing at MT of 5 until next thread
break.

I guess my question is after a thread break,
should it sense that it needs to sew based on the
material thickness. (As far as I can tell, the
material itself is the same thickness, no seams,
etc.)
